The Abegg Foundation is dedicated to collecting, preserving and researching historical textiles. It is located just outside the town of Riggisberg in the Bernese Pre-Alps. There you will find the Museum for Textiles and Applied Arts, the “Villa Abegg” living museum and the scientific library. The studio for textile conservation and restoration is also a place of study for prospective specialists. The books and printed matter published by the Abegg Foundation convey the results and findings of research into the history of textile arts to a specialist audience and interested laypeople.
